Michael F. Cosiano

Undergraduate Student

Michael Cosiano is an undergraduate student in the College of Science at Notre Dame and is majoring in Science Pre-Professional Studies. He is originally from Findlay, Ohio. His main focus in lab, is the refinement of a structural guided design program used to generate high affinity recombinant T-Cell receptors. Additionally, he works on recombinant protein preparation in order to measure binding strengths and structure. Several techniques he employs in lab include growing bacterial cell cultures, performing inclusion body preparations, refolding and purifying recombinant protein, and analyzing crystallographic structures.

In his free time, Mike likes to play soccer and listen to music. Mike loves soccer so much, that he went to play soccer against local academies in England for a week. After graduating from Notre Dame, Mike plans on attending medical school.
